Compared to my cooking, that cake is a masterpiece. Usually when I have cake it's in celebration of not burning down the house.

-Yeah, the frosting looks pretty repulsive, but it is homemade. It's hard to get an even coating of frosting with no real training.
-The cake was pretty good, Funfetti cake mix is amazing.

Oh, forgot to answer a question, it took me about an hour to make the mold out of aluminum foil and do everything except for baking.

Did you sand with 400-600 grit sandpaper? If not, that was likely your problem. Also, remember to apply in thin layers so it won't drip and use Krylon Fusion next time instead of homemade.
