Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are currently scheduled for release in the United States in Fall of 2007.

Ditto. I don't think RO would release GHIII that soon, especially with all the downloadable GHII songs they probably intend on making at the same time.

Well wasn't GH II released a year after GH? So I wouldn't be surprised if GH III did the same.

With the advent of a third game, along with (new?) DLC, I would expect it to take more time to record everything, since they probably have more songs to do than there were in GHII. More songs = more time/bodies. I'm not going to get my hopes up for a quick release (that way I won't be disappointed when it happens).

Have they ever thought of having the real bands and singers (if possible, like if not dead or something...) come and play the song for the game? That way, we wouldn't have crap singers like the cover singer for Killing in the Name?

try a search at google but I remember one of the big gaming sites saying that they signed a deal with EMI or Warner Brothers or one of the huge record companies so they could have access to the studio masters...this means they have all the tracks already broken up (as this is how they are recorded at the studio), which is a lot easier (and BETTER!!!) than having the RO/Harmonix "cover band" re-record the song (and ruin it like Alice in Chains song Dirt as well as many others haha)
This is a good thing, and it will be even better if other record companies fall in line...!

i went ahead and bought a couple of 10' USB extensions but honestly, I'd much rather have a wireless.
that's the great thing about the Xbox360 for me is it's the first truly wireless (that works!) game system....and now we are tethered by wires again =(
does anyone else ever get the "phantom cable" feeling on their leg or such when playing 360? Sometimes I'll be sitting there playing and I'll think I feel the controller's cord get caught under my leg or foot or something...which is funny since the 360 controller doesn't have any cables/wires lol.

Real nice trick. You probably thought just because you posted a link, means we wouldn't look at it and believe you. It cleary said Guitar Hero II not III. So, I don't know where you're comin from buddy, but we're not stupid.

I would think it would be too early for a fall release for GHIII and thats because of DLC. I was expecting for the sequels to be a bit longer since DLC is available. Because if all they're gonna put on DLC is crapty new songs and not songs people want (Closer to the Heart, Holy Wars awesome songs like that) then what is DLC for?
But I'd buy GHIII anyway.
