Given their willingness to find random funny songs to put in (ie Trogdor), I have to hope that they might be willing to hop onto ocremix.org for us Children of the 80's.

Specifically, I'm thinking of something from a band called Game Over, who did some 8-bit nintendo covers.

The one unlockable/purchasable song I really want to be in GH3 is "Little Mac's Confession", a tragic tale of Little Mac's loss to Mr. Dream. Every time I hear that song, all I can think of is how awesome it'd be to play in Guitar Hero. Its like.. this perfect sort of cheesy 80's metal tune. If you grew up in the 80's, if you ever played hours upon hours of Mike Tyson's Punch Out, you need to listen to this. And tell me it doesn't belong in this game.

You can download it at http://www.nintendometal.com/ or http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00605/

power ranger theme song is way cooler, more people would empathize i remember i watched the power rangers like 10 years ago or something, i heard it a little while ago and it is hands down the best theme song

PS- This is what it would look like if Q and R were removed from the alphabet.

Power Ranger Theme Song, u know u want it in GH3 tell everyone u know and maybe it will. His audio is off
Super Sprode- Freezepop, The ultimate Freezepop song should also be in GH3
Andrew WK- Party Party Party, featured in Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I WANNA HAVE A PARTY! PARTY HARDY

ok moron. lets try this again, power ranger theme song would be alot better in my opinion on GH3 than his nintendo song as i remember it from youth, i dont care if buckethead made it or not. just stop talking now!. im not spamming it, my sig does that for me

PS- This is what it would look like if Q and R were removed from the alphabet.

now, now... settle down

I did say "...and tell me it doesn't belong in this game", HOWEVER... I did also address this thread to the Children of the 80's. Power Rangers were distinctly 90's.

now get off my lawn.
/cranky

Seriously though.. there's no reason not to have both, I suppose.

My intent with this thread was for this one particular song.. a powerful rock tune that brings to mind some happy moments from many of our childhoods, written in a way that has extremely distinct lead and backup guitar portions, which would be amazing to play in Band Mode.

If you haven't listened to the whole thing, I recommend you do so now. The intro is a very quiet "game over", which leads into a very Rocky Balboa sort of intro, complete with a Ring Bell signalling the start of a round.

I love that they worked in the "knockout" sound effect several times :D

c'mon, sing along... "..let's keeeeep it cleeeeeeeeean.... PUNCH OUT!"
/guitar solo

Truth be told, I'd never even heard of Buckethead before GH2, so let's not argue about them.
If you'd like to suggest other video game music, that might be a more appropriate direction to go.
How about that outdoors theme from Castlevania 2? Bloody Tears or something? There's a couple good covers of that one on ocremix... Man, how about the opening E1M1 song Hangarmageddon from DOOM?

Omfg, how many times do we have to say this (well, toymachine mostly)?? Buckethead did not play the MMPR Theme, he did a song on the movie sound track.

13Brent is too underrated and underestimated to be in this sig

YES! Little Mac´s Confession would be awsome! Ever since I first heared it 6 years ago, it´s been one of my favourite songs! I just love the agressive guitar, and the tounge-in-cheek lyrics sung like they mean it... Seroiusly, this is great stuff. Nintendo Metal forever!

I dunno, I'd personally like the Megaman 2 theme by The Minibosses.

Bands I like: Dream Theater, King Crimson, DragonForce, Drist, Pink Floyd, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Breaking Wheel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, and Thoughts of Pascal.
R.I.P. Dime and Syd Barrett.

..and as we all know, MM2 was the best of the entire series!

as a side note... King Crimson? You're the first person I've seen outside of my russian coworker who's heard of them!

Minibosses are fine, but personally I think the Megaman 2 medley is a bit too chopped up, I´d rather have a shorter, more focused song from them in the game.

Besides, Larks´ Tounges in Aspic is a very good album! (I´m not your russian coworker.)
